I. Working Principle of the Small Spray Dryer:
Air is filtered and heated, then enters the air distributor at the top of the dryer. The hot air enters the drying chamber uniformly in a spiral pattern. The liquid material is atomized into extremely fine droplets by a high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower. These droplets come into contact with the hot air in a co-current flow, drying into a finished product in a very short time. The finished product is continuously discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, and the exhaust gas is discharged by the induced draft fan.
II. Installation Instructions for the Small Spray Dryer:
1. Drying Chamber Installation: Hold the drying chamber with both hands and insert it diagonally into the drying chamber fixing clamp. Tighten the drying chamber locking nut.
2. Cyclone Separator Installation: Place the cyclone separator locking nut, sealing ring, and stainless steel washer onto the air outlet pipe of the cyclone separator, then insert them together into the equipment's air outlet pipe. Adjust the position of the drying chamber outlet and the cyclone separator inlet so that the two openings are aligned. Connect the two openings with a clamp, then tighten the cyclone separator locking nut.
3. Connect the collection pipe and the drying chamber with a clamp.
4. Connect the collection bottle and the cyclone separator with a clamp.
5. Install the food-grade silicone tube onto the peristaltic pump and insert it into the spray chamber feed port.
6. Install the spray chamber onto the equipment, connecting the 4mm air tube (for the needle) and the 6mm air tube.
III. Precautions for Using the Small Spray Dryer:
1. During closed-loop operation of the small spray dryer, when spraying organic solvents, the oxygen concentration must be controlled below 5%, otherwise there is a risk of combustion and explosion of the organic solvent.
2. Do not touch rotating parts while the small spray dryer is in operation.
3. During operation or for a period after shutdown, the surface temperature of the small spray dryer is relatively high. Do not touch the bag filter, cyclone separator, air duct, atomizer, exhaust fan, observation window, or other components with your hands.
4. Do not enter the drying tower until the temperature has dropped to room temperature.
5. When opening and closing the door of the small spray dryer, and when disassembling and assembling the air ducts, cyclone separator, and atomizer, be careful to avoid pinching your hands and fingers.
6. It is strictly forbidden to open the door of the small spray dryer when the oxygen concentration is below 21%; otherwise, it may cause oxygen deficiency in the operator, leading to suffocation.
